THE FORMAT

THE TOURNAMENT:

The Masters is a Open Tournament. Each participant must have a current USBC membership in, and actually compete in; an USBC certified Indiana Local Association. Non-Indiana residents shall be required to have a validated average of 21 games or more in an Indiana USBC certified league. Affiliate memberships are not allowed.

SATURDAY FORMAT:

Four (4) rounds of qualifying will be conducted on Saturday to determine the competitors for the FINALS on Sunday.

Each entrant will bowl three (3) games across 6 lanes. This is a scratch tournament.
Total actual pin fall will determine the players that advance to the FINALS on Sunday.

Re-entries will be allowed, based on lane availability. The cost to re-enter the MASTERS tournament will be $70.00.

The top 32 individuals with the highest total actual pin fall will advance to the Finals on Sunday of THE IS USBC BA MASTERS.

SUNDAY FORMAT:

The players advancing will be seeded, based on their scores from Saturday.

A double-elimination bracketed format, utilizing a single game match play competition, will be used to determine the Champion.

OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION:

The MASTERS tournament will be contested on a 'SPORT BOWLING' lane condition throughout the weekend.

Advance reservations will have priority over walk-in entries.

Each participant bowling in the FINALS on Sunday will be guaranteed to cash in the prize distribution of the tournament (based on 160 entries - see Rule # 13).

A dress code will be enforced during the MASTERS Tournament. Each participant will be required to wear dress slacks (no denim jeans, cargo pants, sweats or shorts) and a shirt with a collar. Mock turtle neck shirts will only be allowed if they have a bowling logo and meet PBA guidelines. No headgear or hats allowed! Those individuals not complying with the dress code will not be permitted to bowl. The decision of the Tournament Manager is final.

Sweepers will be conducted on Friday night prior to the MASTERS Tournament. The sweepers competition will be bowled on the 'SPORT BOWLING' lane condition to be used in the MASTERS Tournament.

Brackets and high game side pots will be administered by the IS USBC BA during the three days of competition.
