The
Indiana Masters
THE FORMAT
THE
TOURNAMENT:
The Masters is a Open Tournament. Each participant must have a current USBC membership
in, and actually compete in; an USBC certified Indiana Local Association.
Non-Indiana residents shall be required to have a validated average of 21 games
or more in an Indiana USBC certified league. Affiliate memberships are not
allowed.
SATURDAY
FORMAT:
Four (4) rounds of qualifying will be conducted on Saturday
to determine the competitors for the FINALS on Sunday.
Each entrant will bowl three (3) games across 6 lanes. This
is a scratch tournament.
Total actual pin fall will determine the players that advance
to the FINALS on Sunday.
Re-entries
will be allowed, based on lane availability. The cost to re-enter the
MASTERS tournament will be $70.00.
The
top 32 individuals with the highest total actual pin fall will advance to the
Finals on Sunday of THE IS USBC BA MASTERS.
SUNDAY FORMAT:
The players advancing will be seeded, based on their
scores from Saturday.
A double-elimination bracketed format, utilizing a single
game match play competition, will be used to determine the Champion.
OTHER
PERTINENT INFORMATION:
The MASTERS tournament will be contested on a 'SPORT BOWLING'
lane condition throughout the weekend.
Advance reservations will have priority over walk-in entries.
Each participant bowling in the FINALS on Sunday will be
guaranteed to cash in the prize distribution of the tournament (based on 160 entries - see Rule # 13).
A dress code will be enforced during the MASTERS
Tournament. Each participant will be required to wear dress slacks (no denim
jeans, cargo pants, sweats or shorts) and a shirt with a collar. Mock
turtle neck shirts will only be allowed if they have a bowling logo and
meet PBA guidelines. No headgear or hats allowed! Those individuals not complying with the dress
code will not be permitted to bowl. The decision of the Tournament Manager is
final.
Sweepers will be conducted on Friday night prior to the
MASTERS Tournament. The sweepers competition will be bowled on the 'SPORT
BOWLING' lane condition to be used in the MASTERS Tournament.
Brackets and high game side pots will be administered by the
IS USBC BA during the three days of competition.
