There are two (2) scholarship programs available to the youth of the State of Indiana. The programs are the Evan S. (Red) Stuart Memorial Scholarship Award and the Charles (Bud) Fridlin Scholarship Award. This function is established by the IS USBC BA Board for the specifications delegated to the Scholarship Committee. The committee is defined per the IS USBC BA Management Development Plan. The Scholarship Committee shall have the responsibility to select recipients for all scholarships, amounts for each as suggested by the Finance committee, selection criteria, and recommend changes and/or improvements to the function. Number of Scholarships a. The IS USBC BA will award one (1) Evan S. (Red) Stuart Scholarship annually, in an amount to be established by the IS USBC BA board as recommended by the Finance committee. b.
The IS USBC BA
will award one (1) Charles (Bud) Fridlin Scholarship annually to a qualified
candidate in each District of the IS USBC BA, in an amount to be established by
the IS USBC BA board as recommended by the Finance committee. If all Districts
do not have qualified candidates submitted, the committee may award
“at-large” scholarships to take their place. The maximum number of
scholarships is equal to the number of Districts. Application
forms will be made available to all interested parties by request from the
committee chairman and/or the IS USBC BA Association Manager. In addition, each
District Director will be requested to distribute the applications to the local
associations (BA, WBA, YBA & merged) and all bowling centers within the
immediate district. Evan S.

Section 1. Specifications. b. Additional scholarships will be awarded annually to a new recipient until a total of four (4) scholarship awards have been established. c. The award is to be used for tuition and fees for either a four (4) year baccalaureate degree program or an associate degree program. d. Section 2. Eligibility.
Section 3. Selection will
follow the criteria as established and administered by the IS USBC BA
scholarship committee with the scholarship being awarded to the highest ranking
applicant.
