2. MEMBERSHIP: Team Captains, or individuals, must display USBC membership cards for all
players at check-in for the Team Event. All individuals must display USBC membership cards
at the Minor Events check-in. Non- Indiana residents are required to furnish
proof of a current 21 game average in an Indiana USBC certified league.
3. All team captains must be on hand and check in their lineup to the tournament office
at least 30 minutes prior to the starting time of the squad. Substitutions of bowler for
bowler may be made at that time. Any changes to the original entry in the order of
bowling or switching doubles partners must be made at least 72 hours prior to the time of
bowling. An all events entry cannot be transferred unless completed prior to either bowler
having bowled in any event of the tournament.
4. All professional members shall be limited to two (2) per team
and one (1) per doubles.
5. TOURNAMENT: This is a Handicap Tournament and the Team, Doubles,
Singles and All Events will be conducted as follows: To the actual scores, a handicap of
90% shall be added to the difference between the bowlers averages and 1100 for Team, 440
for Doubles, 220 for Singles and 220 for All Events. Any bowler having an average 220 or
greater shall bowl from scratch in the Singles and All Events, but their actual average
shall be used in the computation of the Team and Doubles handicap.
6. AVERAGES: Averages for determining handicaps shall be as follows:
The highest USBC certified league average based on a minimum of 21 games for the immediate
preceding seasons (Yearbook). If current average of 21 games or more as of one week
prior to participation in the tournament is 10 or more pins above the preceding Season
(Yearbook) average, that current average must be used. If participant has is no
average for the preceding season (Yearbook), current average of 21 games or more as of one
week prior to participation in the tournament must be used. All others shall bowl from
scratch (220).
7. OPTIONAL EVENTS: There will be optional actual score events
for Team, Doubles, Singles and All Events. All participants who have entered and paid the
fees for the regular tournament may enter any or all of the optional events by payment of
the optional fees. To enter Team actual, all team members must enter. To enter
Doubles actual, both members must enter and they must also enter the Singles actual event.
There will be no Doubles only or Singles only entries allowed. Any participant may
enter All Events actual.
8. PRIZE FEES: Prize fees will be returned 100% in prizes in all
events both Handicap and Actual. Participant may cash in any event, Handicap and optional
Actual, upon payment of the entry fee for that event.
9. PRIZE RATIO: In the Handicap events, the ratio of prizes to the
number of entries shall be a minimum in the Team event and Minor events one (1) for every
six (6) and in the All events one (1) for every ten (10). The low prize for each event
shall be at least $25.00 for Team, $10.00 for Doubles, $5.00 for Singles and $3.00 for All events.
In the optional Actual events, the ratio of prizes to the number of entries shall be a
minimum in all the events of one (1) for every eight (8). The low prize for each event
shall be at least $25.00 for Team, $10.00 for Doubles, $5.00 for Singles and $5.00 for All events. The
capital prize for the Team Handicap shall be at least equivalent to $1.35 times the number
of teams entered in each event. The capital prize for the Optional Team Actual shall be at
least equal to twenty-five (25%) percent of the total prize fund available. The minor
events shall be paid on a comparable ratio. USBC Championship chevrons will be awarded to
both the Handicap and optional Actual for each event.
10. ENTRY FEES: The entry fee for each bowler will be $24.00 per event
for Handicap Team, Doubles and Singles. The Handicap All events entry is optional
with an entry fee of $3.00. Entry
fees are disbursed as described on the entry blank. Entry fees for the optional Actual events will be $5.00 per
event for Actual Team, Doubles, Singles and All events. Optional fees are to be returned
100%. Any bowler who places first in the Actual All events but has not entered and paid
the optional fee, is eligible to only receive the Championship award, no cash prize.
11. RE-RACKS: No more than 3 will be permitted per participant per
event, unless authorized by a designated tournament official.
